UFC Fight Night 125

The UFC is back at it again with UFC Fight Night 125, this Saturday February 3, 2018 in the Multisport gym – Guilherme Paraense, in Belém, Pará, Brazil. For a UFC Fight Night there are a couple of potentially good fights on this main card, starting with a Middleweight fight between #15 ranked Thiago “de Lima Maretta” Santos vs. Anthony “Lionheart” Smith. The second fight of the main card is a Heavyweight fight between #15 ranked Timothy Johnson and Marcello Golm. The next fight consists of a Lightweight bout between Michel “Trator” Prazeres and Desmond “The Predator” Green. The fourth fight of the night is a Women’s Lightweight fight between Valentina “Bullet” Shevchenko and Priscilla “Zombie Girl” Cachoeira. The main event of the evening is a Middleweight bout between #13 ranked Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida and Eryk “Ya Boy” Anders.

Santos vs. Smith
Santos has a height of 72 inches with a reach of 76 inches. Santos comes into this fight with a record of 16-5-0. In his last five fights, he has three wins and two losses, all three of his fights came by TKO, with one loss coming via submission and the other by TKO. Smith has a height of 76 inches with a reach of 77 inches. Coming into this fight Smith has a fighting record of 28-12-0. In his last five fights, Smith has four wins and one loss. In those five fights, two wins came by KO, one win by TKO and one by unanimous decision. His one loss came via unanimous decision. For this fight my prediction is that Santos will win by decision because he has better overall significant strike capability and is a good defender striking and grappling wise.

Johnson vs. Golm
Johnson has a height of 75 inches with a reach of 77 inches. Johnson has a professional record of 11-4-0. In his last five fights, Johnson has two wins and three losses, with one win by split decision and one win by unanimous decision. His three losses came by TKO, split decision and unanimous decision. Golm as a height of 76 inches and a reach of 75 inches. Golm is coming into this fight with a record of 6-0-0. In all six of his fights he has won three times by TKO, once by KO and once by submission. As for my prediction, I believe that Golm will win this fight by decision because he is riding a six-fight win streak and he lands many more significant strikes than Johnson does so this fight will go all the way.

Prazeres vs. Green
Prazeres has a height of 66 inches and a reach of 67 inches. In his professional career, Prazeres has a record of 22-2-0. In his last five fights Prazeres is 5-0-0. He has won two fights by submission, two by unanimous decision and one by split decision. Green has a height of 70 inches and a reach of 73 inches. Green has a professional record of 20-5-0. In his last five fights, Green has four wins and one loss. His one loss and most recent fight, came by unanimous decision. Green’s four wins came twice by split decision and twice by unanimous decision. This will be a very good fight and I am looking forward to it. I think that Prazeres will come out on top in this fight by way of submission. Prazeres recent two fights were won by submission. He has a very good takedown and ground game and Green is not used to these types of fighters.

Shevchenko vs. Cachoeira
Shevchenko has a height of 65 inches and a reach of 67 inches. In her professional career, her record is 14-3-0. In her last five fights, Shevchenko has three wins and two losses. Her three wins came by submission, unanimous decision and split decision. Her two losses came by split decision and unanimous decision. Cachoeira has a height of 67 inches and a reach of 65 inches. Cachoeira has a record of 8-0-0. In her previous five fights she is undefeated and has won two fights by TKO, two by KO and one by majority decision. For this fight, I am going with Cachoeira. I think she’ll win by TKO because of her striking ability and how tough she is.

Machida vs. Anders
Machida has a height of 73 inches and a reach of 74 inches. Machida comes into this fight with a record of 22-8-0. In his last five fights, Machida has four losses and one win. Machida’s one win came via TKO and his four losses came twice by KO, once by submission and once by unanimous decision. Anders has a height of 73 inches and a reach of 75 inches. In his last five fights, Anders is 5-0-0. In those five fights, Anders has won twice by TKO, once by KO and twice by unanimous decision. My prediction for the final fight is that Anders will win by KO. Anders is on fire and he is becoming a strong force in the UFC. He lands a ton of significant strikes and he is stronger than Machida.
